Dear gatekeepers, find some mercy in your cold, cold hearts and allow others to have their fun and support us in this request. They should just lift that stupid restriction (which already doesn't stop cheaters anyway, it only stops those who want to get them legitimately as a fun challenge, but without having to deal with annoying unnecessary bugs). What is NOT fun is playing a buggy game for which unofficial bug fixes exist, but you have to intentionally torture yourself and NOT use mods that fix the bugs that annoy you just so you can get achievements, which is simply stupid and makes you feel stupid. It's about the ABILITY to give oneself a particular challenge and then being rewarded for achieving it, which can be a lot of fun. Which proves that cheaters can already give themselves any achievement they want, whereas honest modders who have no interest in cheating are the only ones who keep being denied achievements, even though they would want to work hard for them. That's why people who'd like to be able to get them while using mods rightfully point out that even WITH the ironman requirement, if they WANTED to cheat their way to achievements they already could - easily. That is the ONLY pro-ironman argument there is, I've never heard any other. People always say the ironman requirement is necessary BECAUSE otherwise people could simply cheat their way to achievements.
